About Kiana Queen
Kiana Queen is a dynamic, multi-hyphenate artist—a writer, actor, published poet, abstract painter, and personal chef. She creates under this professional name in loving tribute to her late grandmother. It was during her time as a dedicated caregiver for her grandparents that Kiana began to truly understand how beautifully fragile life is. Because of that, whether crafting a culinary experience, painting on canvas, performing, or pulling from her catalog of over ten thousand poems, her deepest desire is simply for people to know they are seen and loved.
As a storyteller, Kiana does not shy away from the gritty, unfiltered realities of the world. Influenced by the stark contrasts life carries and the many masks we wear, she seamlessly blends genres across her feature film slate, pushing narrative boundaries to reflect both the profound beauty and the devastating darkness of life. She specifically crafts narratives that center complex Black women, ensuring that every single character—from the protagonist to the supporting ensemble—is richly fleshed out, so that those who portray these characters find joy in their complex roles, and those who watch them see themselves and their emotions mirrored on screen.
Yet, across every medium and platform, her artistry is ultimately anchored in a message of profound redemption. Drawing directly from her own harrowing experiences—vulnerably detailed in her true-story feature film, The Quietest Room—Kiana’s work is a testament to the unfailing hope she has found in Christ Jesus. Through her art, she stands as a witness that there is absolutely no situation too dire, and no darkness too deep, that He cannot save and deliver you from.
